Documents

• Pages of current passport with photo, details, issue and expiry dates
• National identity card (if available)
• Proof of change of name (e.g., marriage or divorce certificate, or other legal document)
• Statement explaining why there are no travel or identity documents if unable to provide
• Proof of registration with international refugee organizations (if applicable)
• Full copy of UNHCR resettlement registration form if referred
• Statement explaining why you left your home country
• Certified copies of any visas or residence permits held
• Marriage certificates or relationship registrations for applicant/partner
• 2 recent photographs (45mm x 35mm, name on back)
• Military service records or discharge papers (if served)
• Form 956A or 956 (for appointing a representative or immigration assistance)
• Partner's identity, character, and relationship documents
• Proof of de facto relationship if not married (e.g., joint bank account, joint billing, joint lease)
• For dependants under 18: identity documents or explanatory statement, proof of relationship (e.g., birth certificate), visas/permits, 2 photographs, character documents if applicable
• Parental responsibility documents (Form 1229 or statutory declaration with ID)
• Form 1257 if child not staying with a relative/guardian in Australia
• For dependants 18 or older: identity, relationship, character documents, visas/permits, 2 photographs
• Proof of dependency (financial, physical, or psychological justification)
• Certified translations of non-English documents (as per requirements)
