- identity documents (passport, national identity card, proof of name change)
- character documents (police certificates, military service record/discharge papers)
- evidence of long residence (passport pages, school reports, evidence of business/property ownership, social/professional memberships, correspondence, proof of frequent visits)
- partner documents (marriage certificate or evidence of de facto relationship, joint bank statements, joint leases or mortgages, proof of shared address)
- dependants under 18: identity documents, proof of relationship, character documents if applicable
- parental responsibility consent (Form 1229 or statutory declaration or court order)
- dependants 18 or older: identity documents, relationship evidence, character documents
- proof of dependency for dependants 18+: Form 47a, birth certificate, proof of financial dependence for 12 months
- defence service documents (if applicable)
- translations if documents not in English, certified copies
