- Identity documents (passport pages, national identity card, proof of change of name if applicable)
- Sponsor documents (Form 40 Sponsorship for migration to Australia)
- Balance of family documents (relationship to child, child's Australian citizenship/residency evidence, exclusion evidence if relevant)
- Character documents (may include police certificates, only arrange if asked)
- Assurance of Support documents (if required and when requested by the department)
- Documents for dependents under 18 (identity, evidence of relationship, character if applicable)
- Parental responsibility documents (consent forms, court orders, adoption papers, photo/signature ID of consenting parent)
- Documents for dependents over 18 (identity, relationship evidence, dependency proof)
- Partner documents (identity, character, relationship evidence, de facto proofs if applicable)
- Four recent passport-sized photographs for all applicants
- Certified copies and translations of all non-English documents
