Limits of the record
  • The current Ministry page identifies volunteering and an application funding/host-agreement requirement, but neither it nor the bounded official-source search establishes remuneration, pocket money, accommodation, meals, reimbursement or unrelated-work permission for this exact volunteer visa. Those application requirements are context only; do not infer rights or an absence of rights.

How long can they stay, can they change host/activity, can family accompany, and can the status be extended?

The visa is valid for at most 1 year; the host confirmation must state the date until which the voluntary work lasts; to stay longer the holder must extend the visa in time or apply for a long-term residence permit. The official source does not state whether the host can be changed or whether family can accompany.

Limits of the record
  • IPC places volunteers under the long-term visa for the purpose of studies (Section 64(f)).
  • Change of host and family accompaniment are not addressed.

These are the answers currently recorded in the catalogue. A missing or partial answer is not an eligibility decision.
