This permit is for third country nationals who are going to carry out business activities, a licensed trade, be self-employed, be a statutory body or a member of a statutory body of a trading company in the Czech Republic.

The applicant must carry out business activity (licensed trade, self-employment, or acting as or in a statutory body of a trading company) and prove registration in the relevant register (e.g. Trade Licensing or Commercial Register, or a liberal-profession register), funds for residence based on total monthly income, and no outstanding debts. Statutory-body members also provide a Commercial Register extract and proof the company has no outstanding debts.

Applicants are holders of a long-term business visa, or of a long-term residence permit with over 5 years' continuous residence (with stated exceptions). Apply only in person at a Ministry of the Interior office by the last day of current validity; processing is 60 days. The permit is valid for up to 2 years and can be extended repeatedly for up to 2 years each time, filing between 120 days before expiry and the last day of validity.
