- Application Within Days After Entry
Where the entry visa requires a residence permit, the application must be filed within 30 days after entry.
- Biometrics
Biometric identification information such as fingerprints is required.
- Eligible Host
The inviting family member must be a Chinese citizen residing in China or a foreign permanent resident.
- Family Member Relationship
The applicant must be a qualifying family member of the host.
- Host Invitation
An invitation letter from the eligible host is required.
- Local Exit Entry Authority
The application is made to the competent local public-security exit-entry authority.
- Proof Of Family Relationship
Proof of family relationship is required.
- Medical screening
A qualifying health certificate is required when the requested permit validity exceeds one year.
