- Application Within Days After Entry
Where the entry visa requires a residence permit, the application must be filed within 30 days after entry.
- Qualifying Medical Institution Certificate
A hospitalization or medical-service certificate from a county-level institution or grade 2A hospital or above is required.
- The purpose of the stay is treatment
The applicant must be receiving medical assistance or services in China.
- Treatment Months Over
The medical treatment or service period must exceed six months.
- Medical screening
A qualifying health certificate is required when the requested permit validity exceeds one year.
- Biometrics
Biometric identification information such as fingerprints is required.
- How and where to apply
The applicant normally completes residence-permit formalities in person.
- Registration after arrival
The application is made to the competent local public-security exit-entry authority.
