Documents

  • Visa application form duly filled in and signed
  • Recent passport-style photo (3.5 cm x 4.5 cm or 1”3/8 x 1”3/4, full front and white background)
  • Passport or travel document valid at least three months over the planned stay in Italy and a photocopy of relevant pages
  • Current student ID and a copy
  • One way flight reservation
  • Pre-enrollment documentation validated by the Italian higher education institution
  • Original secondary school diploma (or higher degree as relevant) with legal recognition or comparability statement
  • Certified Italian translations of relevant documents
  • Letter from host institution in Italy confirming enrollment and accommodation details
  • Proof of accommodation (rental agreement, declaration of hospitality, or university residence confirmation)
  • Proof of financial means of support (various methods specified)
  • Letter from insurance company stating medical expenses, hospitalization and repatriation coverage of at least 30,000 euro
  • Personal Money Order for the visa fee, addressed to Consulate
