  • Letter of Request addressed to the Director of Immigration
  • Duly completed citizenship application form with $10.00 Bahamian postage stamp affixed (notarized)
  • Applicant’s original medical certificate (dated within 30 days of application)
  • Applicant’s original police certificate (issued within 6 months, covering 5 years of residence)
  • Two current passport photographs of applicant (2 x 2 inches, white background, name on back)
  • Original birth certificate of applicant
  • Certified copy of applicant’s parents’ birth certificate(s) (if applicable)
  • Copy of applicant’s current passport biographical data page
  • Copy of parents' current passport biographical data page(s) (if applicable)
  • Certified copy of parents’ marriage certificate (if applicable)
  • Certified copy of parent(s)’ death certificate (if applicable)
  • Mother’s hospital record confirming birth in The Bahamas (if applicable)
  • Immunization card (if applicable)
  • Baptismal certificate (if applicable)
  • Deed Poll (if applicable)
  • Documentary evidence of applicant’s immigration status
  • Two original character references by Bahamians known for five years (with their passport copies, phone and email)
  • All school letters with entry and completion dates
