Correction Policy

Last updated: April 2026

Summary

Correction-only policy. If you find a factual error in your report — objectively incorrect data verifiable against an official government source — email us at hello@wheretoemigrate.io within 14 days of purchase. We verify the discrepancy, correct the data in our database, regenerate your report, and resend at no charge.

We do not offer refunds as a default policy. Reports are personalized digital products delivered immediately, so the standard EU 14-day right-of-withdrawal does not apply (Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m)). In edge cases where a correction is not possible or appropriate, we may offer a goodwill refund on a case-by-case basis at our discretion.

1. Correction request — 14-day factual-error remedy

We do honour a correction remedy when a report contains a factual error. A factual error means objectively incorrect data that can be verified against official government sources — for example:

  • A wrong visa application fee
  • An incorrect minimum income or investment threshold
  • An outdated programme name or a programme that has been officially cancelled
  • An incorrect processing-time band

To request a correction, email hello@wheretoemigrate.io within 14 days of purchase with:

  • Your order ID or purchase email
  • The specific claim in the report that you believe is incorrect
  • A link to the official government source that shows the correct value

We will verify the discrepancy. If the error is confirmed, we will re-generate a corrected report at no extra charge and send it to you. Typical turnaround: 48 hours.

3. What the correction remedy does NOT cover

Disagreements with our scoring methodology, country rankings, or subjective assessments do not qualify as factual errors. Our scoring model is documented at /methodology. If you dispute the weights or rank order, that is a methodology disagreement, not a data error.

The correction remedy does not extend to methodology disagreements: if you believe a country should rank differently, or that our scoring weights are wrong, that is a methodology dispute (documented at /methodology), not a data error.

For a programme that changes after your purchase, we include a light-touch remedy: contact us within 60 days and we will re-run the assessment once against the current database for no extra charge.

4. Chargebacks

We maintain detailed records of every transaction, including consent acknowledgement, IP address, delivery confirmation, and download activity. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank without first contacting us, we will contest the dispute using these records.

Fraudulent chargebacks may result in account termination and referral to fraud-prevention services.

Please contact us first. If you have an issue with your purchase, email hello@wheretoemigrate.io. We resolve legitimate concerns quickly — usually within two business days.

5. Technical delivery failures

If you paid but did not receive the report because of a technical failure on our side (e.g. the email did not reach you despite a correct address, or the download link did not work), this is not a refund case — it is a delivery-failure case. Contact us within 30 days and we will:

  • Verify the delivery logs on our side.
  • Resend the report via a different email address if needed.
  • Issue a fresh download link with a new token.

If we cannot successfully deliver the product after a reasonable effort, we will refund the purchase in full.

6. How to contact us

For any refund, correction, or delivery enquiry:

  • Email: hello@wheretoemigrate.io
  • Typical response time: within 2 business days (usually faster)
  • Contact page: wheretoemigrate.io/contact

Please include your order ID or the email used for purchase — this lets us locate your transaction immediately.

7. Full terms reference

This correction policy summarises section 5A of our Terms of Service. In case of any conflict between this page and the full Terms, the Terms prevail.
