What achievements, recognition, awards, publications, reputation or other evidence establishes the required level?
The annex distinguishes humanitarian pioneers and frontline workers. Humanitarian categories include at least five years of relevant organisation membership or distinguished employment, humanitarian awards, or financial support of at least AED 2,000,000, with a university degree specified in Article 23. Frontline workers instead qualify through exceptional efforts protecting UAE society during crises; Article 24 includes nurses, paramedics, laboratory and pharmacy technicians and other cadres accredited to the National Pride Office.

## Article (23)
## Conditions for issuing Golden Residence Permit for Humanitarian Pioneers and Workers
The following conditions are required to issue Golden Residence Permit for pioneers and
workers in humanitarian work:
1. To be a member of international and regional organizations, or distinguished workers in
them, for a period of no less than (5) five years;
2. To be a member of civil associations and institutions of public interest, or distinguished
workers in them, for a period of no less than (5) five years;
3. Recipients of appreciation awards from a local, regional or international institution
specialized in the field of humanitarian work;

4. Financial supporters of humanitarian work, on condition that the value of the support is
not less than (AED 2,000,000) two million dirhams or its equivalent;
5. To have a university degree; and
6. Any other category to be agreed upon between the Ministry of Community Development,
the Competent Local Authorities and the ICA, and that falls within the fields of
humanitarian work.

## Article (24)
## First Line of Defense Workers Golden Residence Permit
The ICA may grant Golden Residence Permit to those who have exceptional efforts in
protecting the UAE society in responding to crises, on the recommendation of the Concerned
Government Agencies. This shall include the cadres working in the first line of defense in the
response to the pandemic as a cadre of nurses, paramedics, paramedics, laboratory
technicians, pharmacist technicians and other cadres accredited to the National Pride Office.
