What duration, renewal and accelerated or normal longer-term residence pathway is officially stated?

The temporary residence permit is issued for a term matching the documents submitted, but for not more than one year, except in the cases listed in the procedure. The listed exceptions are employment, international technical assistance projects, founders and/or participants and/or beneficial owners of a legal entity registered in Ukraine (two years), study, and people named in parts 19, 20 and 24 of Article 4 of the Law on the Legal Status of Foreigners and Stateless Persons; people who arrive for cultural, scientific or educational activity under international agreements or special programmes are covered by part 10 of that Article, which is not among the exceptions. Extension of the permit's validity is not provided for; on expiry, documents for its exchange must be submitted no later than 15 working days before the expiry date.
