The transit visa is valid for three months, and a traveller entering on it is permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 30 days. The permission is a Transit Visa in category "TS", obtained from a Thai Embassy or Consulate-General, and nationals of certain countries must apply only in their home or residence country or at a designated Thai Embassy. The documents are a passport or travel document valid for not less than 6 months, a completely filled out visa application form, a recent 4 x 6 cm photograph, evidence of travel from Thailand in the form of a confirmed air ticket paid in full, evidence of adequate finance of 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family, and the visa of a third country in the passport or travel document. The fee is 800 Baht per entry and the page notes it may change without prior notice.
