Which travellers require a transit visa/permission and which officially documented exemptions are important?

The transit visa is valid for three months and the holder is permitted to stay in the Kingdom for a period not exceeding 30 days. The documents listed for the transit type are a passport or travel document valid for not less than 6 months, a completely filled out visa application form, a recent 4 x 6 cm photograph, evidence of travel from Thailand in the form of a confirmed air ticket paid in full, evidence of adequate finance of 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family, and the visa of a third country. The fee is 800 Baht per entry, and consular officers may request additional documents.
