How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

The duration of visa printed against the whole list of purposes is 3 months, and a single-entry ED visa is valid for 3 months from the issue date. The official source describes no extension, renewal or change-of-purpose mechanism, and the separate Non-ED Plus arrangement is limited to international students at bachelor's degree level or above. The official source does not state post-study work or residence options.

Limits of the record
  • The document states no extension or renewal mechanism, so what happens when a course or internship outlasts three months is not established by it.
  • The fee is published in yen by one mission and is not stated to apply at every Thai mission.
