Employment must be in the neighbouring Swiss border zone.
- Labour-market test
The ordinary labour-market admission requirements must be fulfilled.
- Nationality or qualifying status
The applicant is a national of a state outside the EU/EFTA framework.
- Prior immigration or residence status
Permanent residence in the neighbouring country and at least six months' residence in its border zone are required.

- Passport or travel-document requirement
A valid recognised passport or travel document is required.
