What education or training is this pathway designed for?

A traineeship/internship in Sweden obtained through an international exchange programme within organisations such as AIESEC, IAESTE, JUF or SACCUSA, or under a traineeship exchange agreement between countries (e.g. with the United States and Canada), including the EU–China exchange agreement for young managers. Traineeships related to higher education use a different permit.

What type of institution/course must accept or enrol the applicant?

The traineeship must be mediated by an international exchange organisation (e.g. AIESEC, IAESTE, JUF, SACCUSA) or come under an intergovernmental traineeship exchange agreement; the applicant needs a written traineeship offer and a statement from the mediating organisation, and the traineeship/internship organisation in Sweden starts the application in the e-service.
