An employment contract or contract with the organiser is required, including any tour plan, salary and time and place of the engagement, signed by both parties. The employer starts the application in the e-service, and the relevant trade union is given the opportunity to comment on the employment terms.

The permit is tied to the employer and profession: a new job with another employer requires a new application, and a change of profession, duties or working conditions invalidates the permit; the holder may start with a new employer once a new application is submitted before the old permit expires. Family (spouses, registered or cohabiting partners, children under 21, and dependent children over 21 in special cases) can apply at the same time, and adult family members and children turning at least 16 that year may work.
