Which exceptional-talent, academic, scientific, artistic, technological, cultural or other profiles does the pathway target?

The pathway targets artists, technicians and professionals who will carry out activities in the audiovisual sector, artistic activities before the public or intended for recording of any type for dissemination through different mass media.

    Podrán acogerse a las presentes instrucciones los artistas, técnicos y profesionales extranjeros que vayan a ejercer actividades enmarcadas en el sector audiovisual, actividades artísticas ante el público o destinadas a la grabación de cualquier tipo para su difusión por diferentes medios masivos.

An employer or contracting company is required: the applicant must have a labour or professional relationship with the company that transfers or hires the professional in Spain, and the company must be part of the production project and meet certain requirements.

Can the holder change employer, work independently, establish a business or conduct other professional activity? What is the family position?

The audiovisual residence authorisation is processed and issued as a single permit under Directive 2011/98/EU (a single permit to reside and work), and the national employment situation is not taken into account. Family: the spouse or partner in an accredited analogous relationship, minor children, adult children economically dependent on the holder who have not formed their own family unit, and dependent ascendants may apply jointly and simultaneously or successively; parents or guardians of a minor working in the sector may also apply. The official source does not state whether the holder may change employer, work independently or establish a business.

El cónyuge o persona con análoga relación de afectividad acreditada, los hijos menores de edad o mayores que, dependiendo económicamente del titular, no hayan constituido por sí mismos una unidad familiar y los ascendientes a cargo que dependan económicamente del titular, que se reúnan o acompañen a las personas definidas en el apartado 1 de la instrucción segunda, podrán solicitar, conjunta y simultánea o sucesivamente, una de las autorizaciones comprendidas en estas instrucciones. Para ello, deberán acreditar el cumplimiento de los requisitos generales previstos en el apartado primero de la instrucción tercera.

    La autorización de residencia prevista en estas instrucciones tendrá una vigencia igual a la duración del contrato o del traslado a España, siendo su duración máxima de dos años, prorrogable por periodos de dos años siempre y cuando se mantengan las condiciones que generaron el derecho.
