Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?

The employer must be a First-Level or Second-Level Technology Start-Up (SUT I or SUT II), which may use this contract for at most eight employees at the same time, whether or not hired from the Job Placement Lists. A prior named hiring notice signed by employer and worker, with documents proving all requirements, is sent to the Economic Activities Office, which must reply within two working days solely on whether the requirements are met.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

Termination of the Article 14 contract causes the permit to lapse, and loss of the holder's requirements causes immediate lapse of the permit for the holder and family members. The holder may request a special family permit for a spouse not legally separated, a dependent child aged up to 25 (unmarried and not cohabiting more uxorio; for minors, consent of the other parent or of the court), or a dependent child unable to self-support because of disability. The official source does not state whether the holder may work for another employer or in other activities.
