Youth Mobility / Working Holiday — Uruguay

Uruguayan nationals holding an Eastern Republic of Uruguay, valid for at least the period of stay;

Be between eighteen (18) and thirty-five (35) years old, both inclusive, on the date of receipt of the request by the diplomatic mission or consular post;

Work is incidental to the holiday. During the period of authorized stay, they cannot have an employment contract for an indefinite period or work for more than six (6) months;

During the period of authorized stay, they may attend training courses or study programs lasting up to six (6) months;

Have not previously received a working holiday visa under this Memorandum;

Have a return ticket or sufficient funds to purchase such a ticket;

Have sufficient means of subsistence to support themselves during the initial period of stay;

Hold a medical and hospitalization insurance, valid for the entire period of the authorized stay;

Citizens of Argentina, Australia, Canada, Chile, Japan, New Zealand, Peru, Republic of Korea, United States of America and Uruguay who wish to remain in Portugal, on holidays, for a maximum period of 12 months, under a Memorandum of Understanding signed between their country and Portugal, should fulfill the general requirements, as well as the documents referring to specific requirements necessary for the processing of a temporary stay visa.

Have not previously received a working holiday visa under this Memorandum;
