What education or training is this pathway designed for?

This pathway is designed for continuing or supplementing studies completed in another EU member state, where the education in Poland is carried out outside/beyond a programme or agreement providing for intra-EU student mobility. Studies include full-time first and second cycle studies, long-cycle master's studies, doctoral school, and preparatory courses for studies in cases specified by law.

Full-time studies (continuing or completing studies begun in another EU state, outside EU mobility programmes) at an approved institution; proof of payment of the semester or academic year fee where studies are fee-paying; health insurance; and funds for living, return and study fees: above 1,010 PLN per month (no dependants) or 823 PLN per person after housing costs, plus return costs of 200, 500 or 2,500 PLN.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

First permit: 15 months, or the academic year or studies plus 3 months if shorter. Subsequent permit: duration of studies plus 3 months, up to 3 years (doctoral school: plus 6 months, up to 3 years). Not renewed automatically; before expiry the holder must apply for a residence permit, but in that situation may not apply for an EU long-term resident permit. The official source does not state post-study work or residence options.
