Temporary residence permit for other education

A temporary residence permit due to other circumstances is agranted, inter alia, in connection with the intention to take up or continue their studies in Poland. Its granting allows temporary residence in Poland for the purposes of education in forms other than full-time studies and doctoral school, including: in primary school; in post-primary, also - post-secondary school; in part-time higher education; as part of postgraduate studies; MBA; as part of a language course.

in the case of attending primary school – a certificate from the school issued by an authorised person, specifying the start and end date of studies, the year (level) of study, and containing information about attendance at classes; in the case of attending secondary school, including post-secondary school - a certificate from the school issued by an authorised person, specifying inter alia the start and end date of education, the year (level) of education, the mode of study (full-time, part-time), as well as the number of hours of classes per month containing information on regular attendance; in the case of part-time/postgraduate/MBA studies — a certificate from the university confirming admission to studies or continuation of studies, which contains the following data or information: first name, surname, date of birth of the student and their citizenship; the name and address of the study institution and REGON number; start date of studies; the date of completion of studies; field of study or scientific or artistic discipline, level of studies; information on their payment/fee status; information on the language of classes and the level of proficiency required to pursue studies; - in the case of continuing studies, the certificate should also include information on the progress of studies to date; in the case of taking a language course - certificate from a language school issued by an authorised person, specifying start and end date of the course, tryb nauki (dzienne, zaoczne), language proficiency level at which the course is held, number of hours of classes per month (e.g. timetable) attendance.

+ the foreigner has health insurance; - within the meaning of the Act of 27 August 2004 on healthcare services financed from public funds or confirmation of the insurer covering the costs of medical treatment in the territory of the Republic of Poland; + the foreigner has sufficient financial resources to cover the costs of living, return travel and tuition fees; You should have adequate funds to cover the costs of living + You may have funds in Polish currency (PLN) or in foreign currencies, according to the exchange rate published by the National Bank of Poland on the last working day preceding the submission of the application for a temporary residence permit. Living costs Financial means the foreigner has available each month should be sufficient to cover daily expenses. This amount must be higher than the social welfare threshold. Required income level 1,010 PLN per month – if you have no dependants; 823 PLN per month/person – for yourself and for each family member who is your dependant, i.e. 823 + 823 * X (1, 2, 3...). ⇒ A temporary residence permit for the purpose of education, unlike a permit for the purpose of studies, toes not require taking into account the actual costs of accommodation in Poland. Return costs Return costs to the country of origin or residence, or the costs of transit through another country to the country that will grant entry permission, are calculated depending on the destination and the number of persons concerned. The foreigner must to have, for the purpose of return, for themselves and each dependent family member, additionally financial means of an appropriate amount. 200 PLN/person – in the case of a country neighbouring Poland; 500 PLN/person – to an EU country not neighbouring Poland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland; 2,500 PLN/person – in the case of other countries. Education costs If the foreigner is studying for a fee, he/she should additionally possess financial means intended for + the foreigner has secured a place of residence in Poland; The foreigner must therefore havethe right to use a specific dwellingwhere he can actually stay.The premises must therefore: ⇒ accessible - can permanently reside (inhabit) in it; it cannot be a temporary place, such as a night shelter; ⇒ habitable - must meet minimum housing standards, including sanitation and technology). The right to reside must be evidenced by the presentation of adocument confirming this right.

Unlike a temporary residence permit for study purposes, this permit does not entitle the holder to work without a work permit.

Limited access to the Polish labour market ⇒ As a general rule, in order to perform work in Poland, you must have a valid work permit or a statement on entrusting work to a foreigner.

The period for which they are granted the period necessary to fulfil the purpose of the stayover 3 months- up to 1 year. Possibility of renewal authorisationdoes not renew automatically. A foreigner who wishes to continue to reside in Poland should apply for a residence permit before the expiry of their permit, provided they meet the necessary requirements.
