What are the most important financial or study-related conditions: tuition, funds, insurance, full-time study, attendance or equivalent?
The most important financial and study-related conditions are: health insurance within the meaning of the Act of 27 August 2004 on healthcare services financed from public funds or confirmation of the insurer covering the costs of medical treatment in Poland; sufficient means to cover living costs (at least 1,010 PLN per month if no dependants, or 823 PLN per month per person for dependants) and return costs (200 PLN for neighbouring countries, 500 PLN for non-neighbouring EU/EEA/Switzerland, 2,500 PLN for other countries); and a guaranteed place of residence in Poland.

You should have adequate funds to cover living costs and departure costs or return costs.
You may have funds in Polish currency (PLN) or in foreign currencies, according to the exchange rate published by the National Bank of Poland on the last working day preceding the submission of the application for a temporary residence permit.
Living costs
Financial means the foreigner has available each month should be sufficient to cover daily expenses. This amount must be higher than the social welfare threshold.
Required income level
1,010 PLN per month – if you have no dependants;
823 PLN per month/person – for yourself and for each family member who is your dependant, i.e. 823 + 823 * X (1, 2, 3...).
⇒ When assessing the costs of maintenance, the actual costs of accommodation in Poland are not taken into account.
Return costs
Costs of return to the country of origin or residence or the cost of transit through another country
200 PLN/person – in the case of a country neighbouring Poland;
500 PLN/person – to an EU country not neighbouring Poland, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein or Switzerland;
2,500 PLN/person – in the case of other countries.

The foreigner must therefore have right to use a specific residential premises, where he/she can actually reside. The accommodation must therefore be:
⇒ accessible - they may permanently reside (live) in it; it cannot be a temporary place such as a shelter;
⇒ suitable for habitation - it must meet minimum premises standards, including sanitary and technical ones).
