What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

The Regulation allows both dependent work (a contract in the public or private sector under any of the legal labour regimes, with the hiring company holding an active tax registration, RUC) and independent work (the foreigner must hold an active RUC). Trabajador is one of Peru's residence statuses, and the separate 'Familiar de Residente' status is granted to foreigners with a proven family link to foreign residents in Peru, who must be in a regular migratory situation. The official source does not state whether the holder is tied to the sponsoring employer.
