What type of institution/course must accept or enrol the applicant?

A study centre recognised by the Peruvian State must issue an enrolment certificate showing study duration of one year or more; for work-training modalities, the host entity's legal representative issues an accreditation letter (duration one year or more, naming the sending university); for student exchange, a letter from the receiving State-recognised university or institution (duration one year or more).

What are the most important financial or study-related conditions: tuition, funds, insurance, full-time study, attendance or equivalent?

A sworn statement of the applicant's economic solvency for the duration of the status (signed by a parent or guardian for minors), and studies lasting one year or more. The official source does not state tuition, insurance or attendance requirements.

Limits of the record
  • No tuition, insurance or attendance requirement found in the sources.

Can the student work? Under what major restrictions? What is the family position where clearly stated?

Formación status does not allow work or remunerated activity unless Migraciones first issues an Extraordinary Work Permit; for Formación holders this permit is granted for the approved residence period and allows part-time (half-day) work. Family members of a resident may opt for resident or another status if they meet its requirements; the holder's status does not extend automatically.

Limits of the record
  • Family position comes from the general family-reunification rule of Legislative Decree 1350 for all resident statuses, not from a route-specific page.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

Granted for 365 days; extension applies for the same period. The official source does not state post-study work or residence options.

Limits of the record
  • No officially documented post-study work or residence route found; Formación is not among the statuses the Regulation lists as able to opt for Permanent.
