Citizenship and dual citizenship Citizenship and dual citizenship pathways are provided to foreign nationals who live in Papua New Guinea for more than 8 years. Transiting Passengers Transit through Papua New Guinea for less than 7 hours do not require a visa. Transit for over 7 hours waiting time require a visa.
