Tourist Visa on Arrival

The application process for a Palau visa-on-arrival is simple and quick.

Once you arrive, you need to provide Immigration with your valid passport and the rest of the documents listed above in this article.

The application process is different for nationals of Bangladesh and Myanmar, as they need to apply for the visa before they reach Palau, from their country of residence.

A tourist visa for Palau may be issued upon arrival for those short-term travelers with a genuine intention of visiting the country for tourism, leisure, or social visits and not to perform work.

This may include visiting friends or family, attending meetings or conferences, and other short-term visits.

The tourist visa strictly prohibits visitors from engaging in commercial, employment, or business activities while in the country.

The tourist visa for Palau is valid for a period of 30 days and may be extended for two additional 30-day periods.

Your passport should be valid for at least six months at the time of entry into Palau.

You must possess a return ticket unless exempt;

You should have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Palau.

All visitors, entering the Republic must provide proof that the visitor has sufficient support during the length of the visit and shall not become a public charge. Proof of such support may be in the form of a letter of credit, or other evidence as may be acceptable to the Director.

Every visitor, prior to Entry, shall provide proof of onward travel. Such proof may include the posting of a bond acceptable to the Director.

A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not required for a visitor’s visa.

You must apply at least seven days before the expiration date of your current visa at the Division of Immigration.

The fee is $50 USD for renewal.

Nationals of these two countries should contact the Palau diplomatic mission in their country, other representative authorities or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

However, if you wish to change your status or work in Palau, you must have a labor permit issued by the Bureau of Labor and Human Resources allowing you to work in Palau.
