How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The visa is valid for 3 years, allowing up to 3 seasons of work. The holder can work up to 9 months in New Zealand each year and must then spend at least 3 months outside New Zealand in any 12-month period. When the visa ends, another Global Workforce Seasonal Visa can be applied for; staying longer requires applying for another visa.
