What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

The single permit allows living and working only for the employer named in the additional document, under its conditions; on a change of employer the new employer must apply for a new permit. After 5 years of work in the Netherlands the holder can obtain the status "free to work" without a TWV. On job loss there is a search period of up to 3 months (up to 6 months if the job was lost on or after 22 May 2026 after holding the permit for 2 years or more). A recognised sponsor can apply for family members of the employee.
