This pathway is for a British contractual service supplier under the EU-UK Trade and Cooperation Agreement, who works in paid employment for an employer established in the UK and supplies services to a client in the Netherlands.

Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?

The applicant must work in paid employment for an employer established in the UK, and that employer must not have a branch in the Netherlands. The applicant must have supplied the same type of services for that employer in the UK for at least 1 year immediately before applying.

What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

The applicant must have at least 3 years' experience in the sector specified in the contract for services, and must earn an income in line with the market rate. The applicant must not receive any other income in the Netherlands.

The holder is allowed to work only for the client specified in the additional document, under the conditions stated there. Family reunification is not allowed with this residence permit.

How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The residence permit is valid for the duration of the contract and for a maximum of 12 months. If the permit was valid for less than 12 months, it can be extended up to the maximum of 12 months. After reaching the maximum period of 12 months, a new residence permit can be applied for after a period of 12 months for the same employer and role, or for different work or a different employer.
