What education or training is this pathway designed for?

E4 is for a foreign national coming to do an internship, or scientific research and study work, at a state-owned legal entity or a scientific research institution (Төрийн өмчит хуулийн этгээд болон эрдэм шинжилгээний байгууллагад дадлага, эрдэм шинжилгээ, судалгааны ажил хийхээр ирэх гадаадын иргэн).

What type of institution/course must accept or enrol the applicant?

The host must be a state-owned legal entity or research institution (Төрийн өмчит хуулийн этгээд болон эрдэм шинжилгээний байгууллага), for a foreign national coming for an internship, scientific research or research work; the inviting organisation files the visa application.

An official request from the inviting organisation/legal entity stating the area of study and duration of stay is required, and supporting documents may include a training contract, supervisor's certificate, a certificate from the training department (transcript, attendance record) and proof of tuition payment.
