What type of institution/course must accept or enrol the applicant?

Public universities and institutes: a valid enrolment attestation. Private institutes and schools: a valid enrolment certificate certified by the supervising ministry department (higher education, national education, or Islamic affairs). Mahadras: an attendance attestation certified by the Mahadra Directorate of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs and Original Education. Each with a travel document valid for more than six months.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

The biometric resident card is personal and valid for one (1) to five (5) years; foreigners wishing to settle must apply at least 15 days before their visa or entry authorisation expires, and establishment, replacement or renewal requests are made in person at a CAR/Citizens' Reception Centre or remotely through the Houwiyeti system.
