For the relevant traveller scope, is a visa, electronic authorisation, visa on arrival or no advance visa normally required?

The visa requirement depends on nationality; there is no universal answer. Liechtenstein and Switzerland generally have the same entry rules and largely matching visa-requirement rules; whether a visa is required can be checked at the Swiss State Secretariat for Migration (SEM) or in the Ordinance on Entry and Visa Issuance. For the L permit (stays over three months within six months), visa rules for tourists remain reserved.
