Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?

Yes: the permit conditions include those of Art. 13 para. 1 lit. a, b and d AuG, i.e. an application by a domestic (Liechtenstein) employer and employment in the economic interest; the job may only be taken up after the permit has been issued.

What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

The applicant must have no criminal convictions, local, occupational and sector-customary pay and working conditions must be respected, and domestic priority applies: it must be shown that no suitable worker can be found on the permit-free labour market (Liechtenstein nationals, holders of residence or settlement permits, and EEA/Swiss cross-border commuters).
