Citizens of the states listed on the Visa-Migration Portal (including Australia, the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Japan, Canada and others) may enter and leave Kazakhstan without a visa if their stay does not exceed thirty calendar days from crossing the state border. What maximum stay, rolling-period rule, validity and entry rules apply?

A single-entry visa allows one entry into Kazakhstan, travel through it, stay and exit for the time, purposes and conditions set by the visa. Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

Online, the applicant enters the invitation number and passport data and pays the consular fee online; the e-visa must be printed and shown at passport control. The service is available via Kazakh foreign offices, territorial divisions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the visa and immigration portal. Processing takes 5 working days; the state fee is USD 60 for a tourist visa (USD 80 business, USD 80 treatment). The official source does not state when a stay can be extended or changed.
