Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the employer, sponsor or transfer relationship required.

Limits of the record
  • Searched the ISA Technical Intern Training page (bb50b03c325b9c9a.txt), the ISA guide (efa0c49024c9dbf8.txt) and the SSW Q&A for the employer/implementing-organisation relationship of this TITP type; the captures only give the activity definition (certified training plan) and document lists, which say nothing about a job offer, employer or sponsor.

What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the decisive professional requirements of this route.

Limits of the record
  • Searched the same captures for occupation, qualification, salary or skill-level characteristics of this TITP type; only the activity definition (work requiring skills under a certified plan) exists, which is already used in R1.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

The permission allows the holder to engage in work requiring skills based on a certified Technical Intern Training Plan for Type 2 supervising-organisation technical intern training. The holder is tied to the specific certified plan. The official source does not state whether the holder is tied to a particular employer or sector beyond the plan, or whether family may accompany the holder.

How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The period of stay is designated individually by the Minister of Justice, within a range not exceeding 2 years, and holders continuing the activities renew it by an application for extension of period of stay. Moving from Technical Intern Training (ii) to (iii) is done by an application for change of status of residence, to be filed promptly. A trainee who has satisfactorily completed Technical Intern Training (ii) (2 years 10 months or more under the plan) is exempt from the SSW(i) skills and Japanese tests when the intended work is related to the trainee's occupation/operation.
