For theatre, entertainment, song, dance or music performances, one track applies if the event is hosted by the state, local government or special corporations or held at a school; hosted by a Japanese organisation set up with public funding for cultural exchange; held at a foreign-culture theme facility of 100,000 m² or more; held at a venue that does not serve paid food/drink at seats or entertain guests (non-profit or 100+ seats); or pays at least 50万円 (JPY 500,000) per day (group total) for a stay not exceeding 30 days. For other entertainment activities (advertising, broadcast/film, commercial photography, recordings) pay must be at least equal to what a Japanese national would receive.
