What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

For work requiring humanities knowledge, the applicant must have the relevant knowledge through (a) a university degree (or equivalent) majoring in a related subject, (b) completion of a related course at a Japanese vocational school (specialised course) meeting Ministry requirements, or (c) 10 or more years of practical experience (including time majoring in a related subject). Pay must be at least equal to what a Japanese national would receive.
