What education or training is this pathway designed for?

Not a study route: it is for people who have already completed education in Japan, namely a bachelor's degree from a Japanese university (excluding junior colleges), a degree from a Japanese graduate school, a junior college or college of technology graduate who obtained a bachelor's degree through the NIAD-QE examination, or completion of a specialised-training-college course certified by the Minister of Education under the international-student career-development programme.

Can the student work? Under what major restrictions? What is the family position where clearly stated?

The holder works as full-time staff of the designated organisation in its business, including duties that require smooth communication in Japanese, but not in adult-entertainment activities or in work reserved for legally qualified persons. Family members (e.g. spouse) of the graduate can apply for a family category of the same status.

Limits of the record
  • Whether family members may work is not stated.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the duration, renewal and post-study work or residence options.

These are the answers currently recorded in the catalogue. A missing or partial answer is not an eligibility decision.
