What type of institution/course must accept or enrol the applicant?

The institution from which the applicant most recently graduated (university, specialised training college or Japanese-language institution) must issue a recommendation letter for the continued job search; where it is a Japanese-language institution, material confirming that the institution meets certain requirements is also required.

Can the student work? Under what major restrictions? What is the family position where clearly stated?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm whether the student may work, the main restrictions and the family position.

How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

Holders continuing the job search apply for an extension of the period of stay. The official source does not state the length of the permission or any post-study work or residence option.
