How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?

The student receives a temporary stay permit type A/2; a visa is granted for up to a year and can be extended for another year on submission of the grades sheet. After study, a company recognised by the Technological Innovation Authority as a knowledge-intensive technological company may apply to employ a foreign national who completed a full academic degree at a higher education institution in Israel in a high-tech profession (electrical engineering, electronics, computers, including software engineering, information systems and computer science), for a period not exceeding one year from graduation (Procedure 5.3.0043).
