The D14 visa is a visitor visa allowing multiple entries to Indonesia, with an initial stay permit of up to 60 days from the date of arrival. The stay permit can be extended several times up to 180 days. The visa is valid from the date of issuance until its expiration date, with fees listed for 1-year and 2-year visas; if it is not used in that period, a new visa is needed.

What important funds, accommodation, invitation, insurance, onward-travel or passport evidence may be required?

The application requires a travel document valid for at least 6 months, a bank statement for the last 3 months in the foreigner's or sponsor's name showing at least USD 2000 (or equivalent), a recent colour photograph, a curriculum vitae, a travel itinerary, an application letter and a sponsor's statement letter, plus a permit from a government agency for using the filming location. Stateless persons and holders of non-national-passport travel documents must also attach a re-entry permit and a return or onward ticket.

Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

The sponsor must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id and, after logging in there, applies for the D14 visa by submitting electronic files; processing takes five working days after the visa payment is received. The sponsor can extend the stay permit online through the sponsor's registered account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id, several times up to 180 days. The stay permit cannot be converted into a temporary stay permit.
