C13 covers joining a means of transport located or stationed in Indonesia (joining a vessel). The holder can also visit tourist spots and see friends and family, but may not sell goods or services or receive salary, wages or compensation for work or business from individuals or corporations in Indonesia.

What maximum stay, rolling-period rule, validity and entry rules apply?

C13 allows a single entry, with a first stay of up to 60 days starting from the arrival date, which can be extended several times up to 180 days. The visa is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance; if it is not used within that period, a new visa must be applied for to enter Indonesia.

The application requires a travel document valid for at least 6 months, proof of living expenses in Indonesia in the form of a bank statement for the last 3 months in the name of the foreigner or the sponsor, and a letter of information or statement from a government agency or company stating that the person will join the means of transport. Stateless people and holders of travel documents other than national passports must attach a Re-Entry Permit to the country where the visa is applied from and a return or onward ticket. Where/how is permission obtained when required, and under what important circumstances can a stay be extended or changed?

The sponsor must have an account at evisa.imigrasi.go.id and applies for the visa there by submitting the foreigner's electronic files; the page also describes applications at the Indonesian Representative Office and at the Directorate General of Immigration; processing takes five working days after the visa payment is received. The stay permit can be extended several times up to 180 days, online by the sponsor through the sponsor's registered account, and can be converted into a temporary stay permit with the same sponsor.
