How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?
The seasonal-work permit is valid for at most six months and may be extended for no more than six months within a 12-month period. Extension is filed in Hungary through Enter Hungary while the existing permit is valid, after at least 90 days of residence with it in any 180-day period, and between 90 and 30 days before expiry. A change of employer requires an extension application; work is limited to the employer named on the permit. During the seasonal permit and after its expiry, a different-purpose residence-permit application cannot be filed from within Hungary. The OIF also says this seasonal holder cannot receive a National Card, and this permit cannot sponsor family-reunification residence. If the employer reports employment ending, the permit becomes invalid on the sixth day after that notification. These are documented limits, not a longer-term conversion path.

Limits of the record- The cited OIF page covers animal breeding, forestry and agriculture under the same seasonal-work permit; the facts do not establish an in-country change to a different permit. Any separate application from abroad or independent family basis would require route-specific evidence.
