How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The employment-for-investment permit lasts for the investment implementation period stated in the group-employment approval, up to three years. It may be extended for the same purpose only until the investment is realised and never beyond three years from first issue. Extension is submitted in Hungary through Enter Hungary while the permit remains valid and after at least 90 days residence with it in any 180-day period; the OIF filing window is from 90 to 30 days before expiry. The OIF says another-purpose residence application is unavailable in Hungary during or after this permit, and the holder cannot be granted a national residence card. These facts do not establish a longer-term transition from this permit.
