How long does the status last, how is it renewed, and what officially documented post-study work or residence possibilities exist?
The H.5.1 permit, granted by decision of the Secretary of the Decentralised Administration, lasts as long as the maximum study duration of the specific programme and can be renewed for an equal period if the institution confirms the holder remains a student and continues studying, and the conditions of Articles 105 and 106 are still met; if the programme is shorter than one year, the permit is valid for the programme's duration. The official source does not state any post-study work or residence option for H.5.1 holders.

Limits of the record- No post-study work or residence possibility is stated for H.5.1 holders (the paragraph 9 route to Article 119 is limited to H.5.2 college students).
- The bar on switching permit category during validity (paragraph 5) is already cited by another route's answer and is not re-cited here.
