What type of worker, employment situation, occupation or professional activity is this pathway actually designed for?

The Fast Track Faroe Islands pathway is designed for a person who has been offered employment by a company approved by the Faroese Immigration Office for the Fast Track scheme.

Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?

The applicant needs an employment offer from an employer approved for Fast Track by the Immigration Office; approval means an employment agreement with that company meets Faroese salary and employment-term standards. The employer needs Fast Track approval even if already pre-approved for the EU scheme.

What are the few decisive professional characteristics of the pathway: occupation, qualifications, experience, salary, skill level, shortage status, labour-market condition or equivalent?

Salary, holiday entitlement and notice terms must not be inferior to Faroese standards in the field; the job must be full time (40 hours/week); the scheme is suspended if unemployment exceeds 3.5% for an extended period; some jobs (e.g. health professionals) need a Danish or Faroese authorisation.

What work does the permission allow? Is the holder tied to an employer, occupation or sector? Can family accompany where clearly established?

The checked official sources did not provide enough route-specific evidence to confirm the work allowed, any tie to employer or sector and family accompaniment.

Limits of the record
  • Not established: the correction failed a second independent check (ESTADO_ERRADO: Value is proven, but residual 'the Fast Track page does not state whether family can accompany' is false: the page (2d77f3c17161eac8.txt, 'Can my family be granted a residence permit') says spouse, cohabiting/registered partner and child under 18 can accompany.)

How long is the permission normally granted for, how is it renewed, and what longer-term residence direction exists if officially stated?

The permit is granted for a maximum of 1 year at a time; to continue working after it expires, the holder must apply for an extension. Work-permit holders can apply for permanent residence after holding the temporary permit on essentially the same grounds for seven years; a specific form exists for Fast Track permit holders.
