A job offer from an employer is central: the employer first applies to the District Labour Offices with a job vacancy; if it is not filled, the employer may apply for a non-EU national, and after a positive Labour Department answer the employment contracts are signed and stamped. The employer then applies for the entry permit through the District Aliens and Immigration Units of the Police, and must provide reasonable accommodation and a bank guarantee in case of repatriation.

The official page gives two different periods: the conditions section states that seasonal workers may be employed for up to four months, extendable by a further four months, while the duration section states that the employment and residence permit is granted for up to three months and can be extended for eight further months (four plus four months). The official source does not reconcile these figures or state a longer-term residence direction.
