Does the applicant need a job offer, employer, sponsor, transfer relationship or other employer involvement? What is important about that employer relationship?
For salaried employment, the employer must apply for an employment permit first; the residence application can be submitted only after a positive decision. The employee first-application checklist also requires the employer’s Chamber of Commerce extract, Labor Register record, signed employer declaration and signed guarantee declaration. If the employer is a sole proprietor or private person, it additionally asks for a Tax Inspectorate statement of fixed taxable income of at least XCG 36,000 from two years earlier.

Proof of payment Fees & Retributions0 (show original for inspection);
Complete and signed original application form;
Copy of valid passport (if several nationalities, copy of all passports);
Copy of birth certificate1 (not older than 1 year). Show original for inspection;
Criminal background check from the last place of residence (not older than 3 months). Submit original;
Copy valid employment permit;
Copy extract from the Chamber of Commerce (not older than 6 months) of employer;
Copy of the labor registration;
Original employer’s declaration², completed and signed by the employer with a copy of valid identification document of the employer, with an adhesive stamp of XCG 10,=;
If employer is a sole proprietor or private person, you must submit an original statement from the Tax Inspectorate of a fixed taxable income of at least XCG 36.000, = from 2 years ago;
Original guarantee declaration³, fully completed and signed by employer with an adhesive stamp of XCG 10,=
